Getting the best answers

Name the painting or sitter if you know it. The docent can look up any cataloged work and point you to its page.
Ask one thing at a time. Short questions get the clearest answers.
The docent answers only from this site’s archive. If it says the archive does not record something, the family may still know more, so write to them.
It cannot value, price, or authenticate a work. Ask for the contact form instead.
