Lively Beach in Veules is a 1897 painting by the Russian artist Victor Stember.
A coastal genre scene, a Normandy beach town with cliffs and figures at the shore, signed and dated directly on the canvas: “Stember, Veules, 1897.” Found via a MutualArt listing. A departure in subject from the portraits and salon nudes that make up most of the known catalog, but the artist’s own signature and date place it firmly in his hand.
